Iran's FM in India for discussions on bilateral relations

(MENAFN) Iran's Foreign Minister was announced to be in India for discussions to be held over bilateral relations.

Speaking to IRNA, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi confirmed Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to be the leader of a political and economic delegation during the visit.

The Iranian foreign minister and the delegation were explained to be looking to develop comprehensive relations among both Iran and India.

Foreign Minister Zarif was also said to be holding talks with India's foreign minister as well as several top Indian officials in order to go through recent regional and global developments.

It comes after nine deals on expanding bilateral economic relations were signed in February during a trip to New Delhi by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
