Women, children among 6 killed in Baghlan explosion


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) At least six members of a family were killed and three others wounded as result of a roadside bombing in northern Baghlan province on Sunday, an official said.

Zabihullah Shuja, police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the roadside bomb hit a civilian vehicle in the Khawja Alwan locality of Pul-i-Khumri, the provincial capital, at noon.

He said three women, two children and a man were among those killed in the explosion, which left three other men wounded. He rejected claims the blast took place at a voter registration centre.

Deputy Director of Public Health Abdul Alim Ghafari confirmed receiving six dead bodies and three wounded from the scene. There was no immediate claimed of responsibility for the attack.
