Saudi Arabia to open first cinema hall April 18
(MENAFN) Al Arabiya announced Saudi Arabia to have scheduled 18 April as the date for launching its first movie theaters in Riyadh.
The Saudi Ministry of Information also declared the country to have set 2030 as its target for opening 350 cinema theatres with 2,500 screens within a number of its cities.
It comes as an attempt to expand the Saudi entertainment sector so as to record a growth in profits and boost its economic contribution.
The short plan was also revealed to be covering a project for the following five years to end with 40 cinemas opened within 15 Saudi cities.
