Vidya Balan set for Telugu debut with NTR biopic

Vidya Balan is all set to enter the Telugu film industry with the biopic on late actor and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR).
The 'Tumhari Sulu' actress will be essaying NTR's first wife Basavatarakam in the film.
The movie will star NTR's son Balakrishna in the titular role and will be directed by Teja.
The shooting for the film has already begun
Details
As per a media report, the makers have already begun work on the film.
It said, "The team has constructed a huge set to shoot a crucial scene featuring Balakrishna for two days immediately after the launch."
"The launch event is likely to be graced by Telangana and Andhra Pradesh chief ministers K Chandrasekhara Rao and Nara Chandrababu Naidu," the report added.
Vidya has previously worked in Silk Smita's biopic
Background
Back in 2012, Vidya had set the screen on fire with her portrayal of southern siren Silk Smita in 'The Dirty Picture'.
The film was a massive success at the box office and even fetched her a bunch of awards.
Now, it will be interesting to see Vidya being a part of the much talked about NTR biopic.
