University of Illinois: sleep difficulties correlates with menopause


(MENAFN) The University of Illinois (UI) study on middle-aged women revealed that sleep issues differ over menopause phases, but also regularly connected to hot flashes and depression.

While women were under process of switching from pre- to post-menopause, they gave analysis and blood samples once a year,in order to keep the researchers updated about sleep interruptions, other menopausal signs and hormone levels.

Researchers have traced no connection to the possibility of sleep problems during different stages of menopause.

They also questioned the women about insomnia regularity, restive sleep and sleep interruptions.
