(MENAFN) Slovenia has been invited by South Korean National Assembly Speaker Chung Sye-kyun to support attempts in accomplishing peace and national cooperation.
The President later confirmed that Slovenia, alongside the EU, is determined to maintain its support for finding an answer to nuclear tensions with North Korea.
Chung stated, as cited by his secretaries, that "(South Korea) has been making constant efforts for peace and reunification despite the prolonged division of the Korean Peninsula, and (we) hope Slovenia will support these efforts."
The request has been made during the speaker's meeting with Slovenian President Borut Pahor after he embarked on a trip to South Korea to attend the Winter Olympics.
