Bomb threat in Delhi's Khan Market, police on alert

Delhi Police rushed sniffer dogs and personnel to the capital's Khan Market area early this morning after receiving a bomb threat.

According to reports, an anonymous caller threatened to blow up the crowded hub.

It is not known yet whether the threat call was genuine or a hoax. Preliminary searches didn't unearth anything suspicious.

The market is located close to the India Gate.

Soon after Independence Day in August, a similar threat was received at the Delhi HC. SWAT teams, fire tenders and bomb squads were rushed to the site.

Nothing was found.

A couple of months ago, another hoax call was received at the New Delhi Railway Station. The caller claimed a bomb had been placed in a train entering the city, reports India.com.
