The Azerbaijani serviceman, who was killed by the Armenian Armed Forces, was buried in Azerbaijan's Shabran region, Report informed on December 15.

Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported on December 14 that the serviceman Fizuli Salahov was killed as a result of the ceasefire violation from the Armenian side and expresseddeep condolences to his relatives.

The serviceman was buried in the Gendov village of Shabran. Representatives of the Executive Power of the region, the Ministry of Defense and the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription as well as representatives of the region's public attended the funeral of the martyr.

In far 1994, after the most intensive military activities in Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed to a ceasefire and signed the relevant document. Unfortunately, time has shown that the agreement does not present any significance for the Armenian side.

Constant ceasefire violations and provocations that the Armenian side commits every day on the frontline are the clear evidence of that. Over the past 24 hours, Armenia's armed forces, using large-caliber machine guns, have 128times violated the ceasefire along the line of contact between Azerbaijani and Armenian troops.

Armenia broke out a lengthy war against Azerbaijan by laying territorial claims on the country. Since a war in the early 1990s, Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan's territory, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding regions. More than 20,000 Azerbaijanis were killed and over 1 million were displaced as a result of the large-scale hostilities. To this day, Armenia has not implemented four UN Security Council resolutions on withdrawal of its armed forces from the Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding regions.
