Pakistan- MDA employees warns govt against merger in WSSM
The employees started rally from MDA office and culminated outside Mardan Press Club where they staged a protest.
The protesters, led by MDA employees' union president Gul Naras, were holding banners and placards inscribed with demands and chanted slogans against the provincial government.
Naras said that sanitation services in other districts have failed and its employees were complaining against it for refusing to provide the promised perks and privileges.
He said that the employees would set up a hunger camp for three days and if the government did not pay heed to their demand then they would lock offices and stop water supply to Sheikh Maltoon Town.
Malik Aman, another employee, said that MDA was an autonomous department and merging it with another was brazen violation of law. He said that a case was pending in this regard at the court.
