Sen. Sanders urges once again for President Trump to step down from office


(MENAFN) Senator Bernie Sanders pushed President Trump in insisting that he ought to take Sen. Al Franken resignation as an example and step down from office as well over past misconduct allegations.

On "Meet the Press" Sunday, Sanders said "here you have a president who has been accused by many women of assault, who says on a tape that he assaulted women, he might want to think about doing the same."

The push on President Trump to resign by Senator Sanders Sunday hasn't been his first attempt for he also presented the suggestion on Thursday.

At the time, Sanders said "we have a president of the United States who acknowledged on a tape widely seen all over the country that he's assaulted women, so I would hope maybe the president of the United States might pay attention of what's going on and also think about resigning."
