When 'Newton' was chosen for Oscars

Rajkummar Rao's 'Newton' is India's official entry in the Foreign Language Film category at the 2018 Oscars.

Newton revolves around a naive but idealistic election officer as he struggles to hold elections in a Naxal-infected village in Chattisgarh.

The film is written by Mayank Tewari and directed by Amit V Masurkar, who collected the best screenplay award in APSA.


Rajkummar's foray into digital world as 'Subhash Chandra Bose'

Call it a mere coincidence but one of Rajkummar's most anticipated projects went on floors this year: his first web-series. He essays the character of Subhash Chandra Bose, the series released on November 20.

'Bose: Dead or Alive' by AltBalaji has received tremendous response so far. Critics have gone far to say that this is the first Indian show to match International standards.


Three successful films back to back

This year, the audience saw different facets of Rajkummar Rao as an actor as he had three different films to offer.

From 'Bareilly Ki Barfi', 'Behen Hogi Teri' and 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana', Rajkummar was seen in a never before avatar in all the three films.
