Pakistan- Patients suffer as machinery at Shabqadar hospital remain dysfunctional

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) CHARSADDA: An Independent Monitoring Unit team on Wednesday taken notice of the out-of-order machinery at Shabqadar Hospital and expressed its annoyance over its poor hygienic condition.

The IMU team found that modern machinery was provided to the hospital but become dysfunctional as the concerned staff had no training how to operate it.

The team was told that anesthesia, ultrasound and x-ray machines have been laying dysfunctional since long. Besides, the team found that not a single patient has been admitted to the hospital since long.

There is no security arrangement for the hospital while a piece of land has also been encroached upon, the team found.

The team has taken notice of the incomplete construction work that has been stopped in the middle and learnt that the district health officer has not visited the facility for the last four months.
