At least 293 people killed in Mexico quake


(MENAFN) The head of the national civil protection agency, Luis Felipe Puente, stated that about 293 people passed away as the 7.1-magnitude earthquake broke out central Mexico.

Moreover, over half of the victims, or around 155 people, were killed in the capital Mexico City, as well as the rest died in the surrounding states including 73 only in Morelos.

Rescue efforts sustain to looking for survivors trapped amid ruined buildings, according to Puente.
