Northern Ireland estimated to gain low expansion in 2017, 2018

(MENAFN) The consultancy PwC posted that it predicts the Northern Ireland economy to be at the lowest level between other UK areas in 2017 and in the coming year.

The PwC also added Northern Ireland expansion is forecast to reach near 1.2% during the year.

On the other hand, during 2018, Northern Ireland is likely to again lag behind the rest of the UK with growth of just below 1%, according to PwC.

Northern Ireland's estimated decline this year and next is due to a slump in business investment directed by sustained doubt surrounding the Brexit discussions.
