The Ministry of Transport and Communications underlined that QITCOM 2017 will provide great and distinct opportunities for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the State.
The 4th edition of QITCOM Conference and Exhibition, the largest digital event in the State of Qatar, will be held at Qatar National Convention Centre from March 6 to 8.
Commenting on the event, Assistant Undersecretary for Digital Society Development at the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Reem Al Mansouri, said that the conference aims to strengthen the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation and learning, as integral parts of the process of building an active sector of information and communication technology, and thus knowledge-based economy.
She urged all visitors to join the entrepreneurship area and contribute to Qatar's vision for building a smart future.
The Digital Incubation Center of the Ministry of Transport and Communications is taking part in QITCOM 2017 with a number of activities to display the pilot projects, to highlight innovation in the digital domain and to promote investment opportunities, in a dedicated space for it within the exhibition under the name "Entrepreneurship Area".
The Entrepreneurship Area in the exhibition includes variety of activities which will involve more than 300 pioneers in the digital field, in addition to more than 50 local, Arab and global emerging digital companies which will showcase their flagship projects.
The activities include CODECAMP competition, the first-of-its-kind in Qatar which aims at supporting local talent and helping grow the digital economy, as to compete internationally.
QITCOM Exhibition and Conference is Qatar's biggest digital event, connecting smart technology with international expertise, industry specialists, key government decision makers, innovators and entrepreneurs.
