(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdul Aal headed to Italy on Thursday to attend the Bureau meeting and the enlarged Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly - Union for the Mediterranean (PA-UfM) scheduled for Tuesday.
The session is expected to include a seminar on migration and refugees, according to the schedule available online.
Besides parliamentary work, a press release by the Egyptian parliament said there were hopes that Abdul Aal's visit to Italy will help easing tensions between Egypt and Italy over the unresolved case of murdered Italian student Giulio Regeni.
Abdul Aal is then expected to go to Switzerland ,heading a delegation from the Egyptian parliament which will participate in the 135th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) from 23 to 27 October.
Earlier in February, Abdel Aal visited the IPU and the PA-UfM in February.
