At Least 41 Dead after Suicide Bombers Attack Chad


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) At least 41 people died after suicide bombers attacked a weekly market in the town of Baga Sola in Chad on late on Saturday , a Chad's government said.

The dead included five suicide bombers - one man, two women and two children, Chadian Communications Minister Hassan Sylla Bakari said in a statement.

Bakari called on the public to be "more vigilant against this cowardly sect that uses women and children for terrorist actions." "The situation is completely under control," Bakari added.

Boko Haram, which has pledged its allegiance to Daeh, has stepped up attacks in Nigeria and northern Cameroon in recent weeks, since Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari took office in May.
