CEO Advisory Firm Teneo Expands Financial Advisory Business In Spain

(MENAFN- PRovoke) LONDON - Global CEO advisory firm Teneo has expanded its financial advisory business in Spain with the hiring of Javier Ibáñez and Francisco Alba to lead its new office in Madrid.

This expansion strategically aligns with the successful launch of Teneo's financial advisory business in Latam in 2024, led by Juan José Perojo, and will enable seamless client delivery across both jurisdictions.

Ibáñez, a leading restructuring professional with over 25 years of experience, joins Teneo as a senior managing director. Ibáñez spent most of his career at KPMG, including 10 years as a restructuring partner, and more recently led Kroll's restructuring business in Spain.

“There is a huge opportunity for Teneo in Spain. The firm's integrated consulting and advisory model is a truly unique offering for clients in the Spanish market. We plan to quickly build out services ranging from crisis and insolvency situations to fundraising and supporting growth opportunities. The development of the Latam – Spain corridor means that we can serve as the ideal partner for cross-border deals. We have ambitious plans to grow Teneo's operations in Spain, including a number of additional hires planned over the coming weeks and months," said Ibáñez.

In tandem, Alba joins Ibáñez at Teneo as a managing director. Ibáñez is also a highly experienced restructuring practitioner, having spent over 15 years at KMPG and Kroll. Additionally, he has M&A deal experience, having served as a director at Borealis.

Teneo expects to make further hires in Spain in the coming months to grow its financial advisory presence alongside other service offerings.
