39959 Saudi youths benefit from training program

(MENAFN- Arab News) RIYADH: As many as 39959 young Saudis have benefited from various technical training programs designed for the needs of the local market.
The trainees not only get immediate jobs from sponsors but also receive a SR3000 monthly allowance while training. Courses are provided for 90 different professions that are in demand. According to the implementing agency the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) the joint project is based on a partnership between the corporation and a number of national companies interested in hiring Saudis.
'Such methods of employment are aimed at nationalizing many professions in the labor market through job training in the areas needed by the private sector' said the head of the joint training program Ahmed Jalalah.
According to him the project is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Labor Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) and the Council of Saudi Chambers where the TVTC unveiled the program for various regions of the Kingdom.
