Jordan calls for pan-Arab media alliance to counter extremist ideology


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Jordan, on Tuesday, urged Arab countries to form a joint Arab media alliance to confront extremist ideology and said the war on terrorism is not limited to the military aspect only.

This alliance needs to be adopted by the Arab League on the political level and should be set up in an official manner, Minister of State for Media Affairs, Mohammad Momani, told an Arab information ministers meeting in Cairo. During the regular meeting, the minister highlighted the Hashemite custodianship of the holy places in Jerusalem and stressed the need for further Arab support Jordan's efforts in Jerusalem, which he said protect the city's holy shrines from Israeli attacks.
