UAE's Hakkasan acquires USD36m The Light Group


(MENAFN) Hakkasan Group, the hospitality and entertainment company owned by Abu Dhabi-based Tasameem Real Estate, announced it has acquired The Light Group from Morgans Hotel Group (MHG), Arabian Business reported.

The group said that the USD36 million acquisition is expected to add 22 nightlife, day life and restaurant properties to its portfolio in Las Vegas as well as make them Las Vegas' largest non-gaming dining, entertainment and hospitality company, with expectations that the deal will be finalized by January.

The acquisition of a majority stake in The Light Group is another step forward in our ambitious investment strategy to deliver exceptional guest experiences," Hakkasan Group CEO said.

Hakkasan Group's portfolio already includes the flagship Hakkasan Restaurant with 12 locations worldwide, as well as Yauatcha, HKK, Sake no Hana, Herringbone, Searsucker, Social House, in addition to its nightlife and daylife brands, which include Hakkasan Nightclub, Wet Republic and Omnia Nightclub.
