Etihad, Air Berlin to woo the Chinese market

(MENAFN) Etihad Airways, the Abu Dhabi flag carrier, in collaboration with Germany's Air Berlin are planning to extend their business and target the Chinese market to promote Germany as a travel destination to the Chinese, Arabian Business reported.

The two airlines hosted a series of events in China to present the joint offering of Etihad Airways and Air Berlin to the Chinese travel companies as well as consumers through the two airlines' extensive connections from China to destinations across Europe, including Germany and across the world.

Etihad Airways currently operates non-stop- services between Abu Dhabi and three Chinese cities: Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai. Air Berlin, in which Etihad Airways holds a 29 percent stake, has a twice daily service between Abu Dhabi and Berlin.

"We are delighted about the positive feedback from attendees, who now have a better understanding about how the partnership between Etihad Airways and Air Berlin can benefit their customers," Chief Commercial of Etihad Airways said.
