Abu Dhabi Airport builds facilities to increase passengers


(MENAFN) As part of Abu Dhabi International Airport's plan to reach a record high in numbers of passengers, it has added a number of new facilities to its operations, according to Arabian Business.

The facilities include 20 new boarding bus gates at Terminal 3, which will increase the airport flight capacity by 44 percent.

The Airports said that it has built six new code E aircraft for wide-bodied aircraft, mainly fir the summer rush that will help boost the airport's aircraft handling capability by 10 percent.

In Terminal 3, which is dedicated to home air carrier Etihad Airways flights, 16 new x-ray machines are now in place to speed up the security process for transfer passengers.
