Bahrain's budget deficit reaches USD1.1b in 2013


(MENAFN) Bahrain's state budget deficit was estimated at USD1.1 billion in 2013, a little lower than expected, according to Gulf Daily News. The country's budget deficit boosted to 3.3 percent of gross domestic product, its highest since 2010, compared to 2 percent in 2012. The deficit was well below the ministry's original plan for USD2.902 billion gap and the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) latest forecast for a deficit of 4.4 percent of GDP.
