(MENAFNEditorial) DEAD SEA, Jordan – April 7, 2014 – To mark World Water Day, held annually in March every year, King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre managed by Hilton (KHBTCC) today announced the installation of a new environmentally-friendly water purification system
The plant, which is located next to the Convention Center, filters and refines rain water gathered from a dam lying in the hills close to KHBTCC using a reverse osmosis (R.O) system, capable of removing impurities in the water via a series of membranes. The distilled and cleaned water is then re-used in the Convention Center and at the upcoming Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa, scheduled to open later this year
The project will not only save up to 30% of the annual water consumption but will also be safely used for irrigation, washing, toilet flushing and construction activities.
