Saudi DED license issuing boosts 12 percent in Q4


(MENAFN) Saudi Department of Economic Development (DED) has issued 12 percent more business licenses in the fourth quarter of 2013 compared to the same period in 2012, according to Arab News



DED issued a total of 4,573 licenses in the third quarter of 2013. Tourism sector ranked first as license issuing rose by 29 percent year-on-year



Commercial licenses recorded the highest share, which reached 73 percent, of the total licenses issued in the fourth quarter of 2013



Saeed Matar Al-Marri, deputy CEO of business registration and licensing (BRL) sector in DED, said: "More and more investors will step forward as Dubai pushes ahead with adding new economic sectors and enhancing competitiveness as well as ease of doing business.
