Godrej and Zayani plan to diversify Mena operations


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Dubai-headquartered Zayani & Co and the popular Indian brand Godrej are set to further consolidate the partnership in the region by diversifying their operations in the UAE, said a top official from Zayani



"Our relations with Godrej are almost five decades old and we have been promoting their products in the Mena region with strength of significant dealers and retailers. In order to further make the presence more strong, we are considering to diversify in key economic sectors in UAE and region in near future. Dubai's win to host World Expo 2020 has given a significant boost to the investor confidence and over all economy," Naser Zayani, managing director, Zayani & Co told Khaleej Times in an exclusive interview



Zayani & Co is a well-established name for the range of security products, office storage, and material handling equipment, shelving systems, racking system, mobile storage garage equipments, garden furniture and fuel pumps

The overall international business contributes 15 per cent of business of Godrej group and Middle East commands significant portion of that figure, added Choudaha



In continuation to its commitment for long term investment in the Middle East region, Godrej also has launched an Experience Centre in Dubai in partnership with Zayani & Co on Thursday. The outlet is located on the Al Ittihad (Dubai-Sharjah Road), showcasing an innovative range of furniture - for offices, laboratories and healthcare segments - security products and locking solutions



"Godrej and Zayani & Co have been partners in the UAE since 1961 and this launch further consolidates their partnership. The centre is spread over an area of 4,200 square feet and is designed to provide several unique experiences to visitors, for instance, a first-of-its-kind replica of a bank vault room complete with strong room door and locker cabinets inside. Viewers are educated about various aspects of security both at home and work. The interio brand displays its entire range of ergonomically designed office furniture besides its new range of health care furniture," said Sumeet Baruah, senior general manager, head of operations Middle East and North Africa
