Unofficial Results Place PPP In Lead In Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Polls
According to results received so far, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is leading with 9 seats, while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has secured 3 seats. One Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-backed candidate has won, while independent candidates have secured victory on 5 seats.
A simple majority of 17 seats is required for any party or alliance to form the government.
According to unofficial and provisional results, PPP's Amjad Hussain won in GBA-1 Gilgit-I with 10,594 votes, while PML-N's Muhammad Shafiq-ud-Din came second with 6,312 votes.
In GBA-2 Gilgit-II, results from 27 of 91 polling stations show PML-N's Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman leading with 4,129 votes, followed by PPP's Jameel Ahmed with 2,695 votes.
In GBA-3 Gilgit-III, independent candidate Syed Suhail Abbas won with 7,877 votes, while PPP's Aftab Haider Advocate finished second with 7,361 votes.

In GBA-4 Nagar-I, PPP's Muhammad Ali Akhtar won with 7,654 votes, while Muhammad Ayub Waziri of Islami Tehreek Pakistan secured 6,597 votes.
In GBA-5 Nagar-II, PPP's Zulfiqar Ali Murad won with 2,705 votes, narrowly defeating Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen's Riaz Akbar, who received 2,584 votes.
In GBA-6 Hunza, independent candidate Nek Nam Karim won with 6,360 votes, while PPP's Imtiaz- Haq came second with 5,417 votes.
In GBA-7 Skardu-I, PPP's Syed Taqeer Mehdi won with 4,337 votes, defeating Raja Jalal Hussain Khan of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, who secured 3,891 votes.
In GBA-8 Skardu-II, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen's Muhammad Kazim won with 10,474 votes, while PPP's Syed Muhammad Ali Shah came second with 10,118 votes.
In GBA-9 Skardu-III, PPP's Fida Muhammad Nashad won with 6,314 votes, while independent candidate Wazir Muhammad Saleem secured 6,106 votes.
In GBA-10 Skardu-IV, PPP's Nasir Ali Khan won with 6,582 votes, while Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party candidate Wazir Muhammad Khan received 4,667 votes.
In GBA-11 Kharmang, PPP's Iqbal Hassan won with 5,944 votes, while PML-N's Syed Mohsin Rizvi finished second with 4,589 votes.
In GBA-12 Shigar, PPP's Imran Nadeem secured victory with 12,944 votes, while Raja Muhammad Azam Khan of Islami Tehreek Pakistan received 8,682 votes.
In GBA-13 Astore-I, results from 36 of 57 polling stations show PML-N's Rana Farman Ali leading with 4,368 votes, followed closely by independent candidate Shahida with 4,312 votes.
In GBA-14 Astore-II, results from 35 of 51 polling stations show PML-N's Rana Muhammad Farooq leading with 4,300 votes, while Shams- Haq Lone of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party has secured 3,865 votes.
In GBA-15 Diamer-I, results from 11 of 51 polling stations show independent candidate Muhammad Dilpazeer leading with 1,426 votes, while JUI-F's Wali Rehman has 996 votes.
In GBA-16 Diamer-II, results from 8 of 42 polling stations show Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party's Atiq Ullah leading with 1,302 votes, followed by PML-N's Muhammad Anwar with 1,069 votes.
In GBA-17 Diamer-III, results from 11 of 46 polling stations show PPP's Muhammad Naseem leading with 2,244 votes, while JUI-F's Rehmat Khaliq has secured 1,128 votes.
In GBA-18 Diamer-IV, results from 33 of 34 polling stations show PML-N's Kifayat-ur-Rehman leading with 5,527 votes, while Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party's Gulbar Khan has received 5,059 votes.
In GBA-19 Ghizer-I, PPP's Syed Jalal Shah won with 9,613 votes, defeating independent candidate Nawaz Khan Naji, who secured 8,210 votes.
In GBA-20 Ghizer-II, PML-N's Abdul Jahan won with 6,917 votes, narrowly defeating PPP's Nazeer Ahmed, who secured 6,758 votes.
In GBA-21 Ghizer-III, independent candidate Aman Ali won with 9,938 votes, while PPP's Muhammad Ayub Shah came second with 6,643 votes.
In GBA-22 Ghanche-I, PML-N's Muhammad Ibrahim Sanai won with 9,308 votes, while PPP's Ashiq Hussain secured 8,052 votes.
In GBA-23 Ghanche-II, independent candidate Anwar Ali won with 12,117 votes, while another independent candidate, Abdul Hameed, secured 4,119 votes.
In GBA-24 Ghanche-III, independent candidate Asad Shafiq won with 8,092 votes, while PPP's Muhammad Ismail received 5,072 votes.
For the elections, 1,389 polling stations and 2,450 polling booths were established across Gilgit-Baltistan. Of these, 1,112 were designated for women, 1,268 for men, and 68 were mixed polling booths.
According to the Election Commission, the number of registered voters exceeds 958,000. Strict security arrangements were made to maintain law and order during the election process. Prior to polling, an incident of firing on PML-N supporters was also reported in Diamer.
Based on the unofficial results received so far, the Pakistan Peoples Party has emerged as the largest party. However, it will still require a simple majority or the support of allied parties and independent candidates to form the government.
