Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery Struck By Neptune Missile System Ukrainian Navy

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the information was released on Telegram by the press service of the Ukrainian Navy.

“The strike on the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery in Russia's Rostov region by the Neptune coastal missile system has been confirmed. On the night of May 31, units of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine once again delivered a precise strike against a strategic enemy facility,” the statement said.

The Navy noted that the attack disabled two atmospheric-vacuum crude oil distillation units, each with a processing capacity of up to 2.5 million tons of oil per year, as well as petroleum product storage facilities.

The press service also emphasized that the Novoshakhtinsk refinery is a key element of the region's fuel infrastructure and plays an important role in supplying fuel and lubricants to Russian military forces.
