Ahead Of May 9, Russia Dropping Fake Banknotes With Propaganda QR Codes Over Ukrainian Border Regions
“Ahead of the May 9 date, which is sacred for the Kremlin, the enemy has intensified the dropping of propaganda materials from UAVs in Ukraine's border areas,” the statement said.
According to the Center, the invaders are distributing leaflets designed to imitate Ukrainian hryvnia banknotes. The materials contain dangerous QR codes and messages aimed at discrediting Ukraine's military and political leadership, while exploiting the theme of World War II with calls for a“joint celebration of Victory Day.”
“Do not scan suspicious QR codes, do not touch enemy propaganda materials, and report such findings to the police or through the Security Service of Ukraine chatbot @stop_russian_war_bot,” the Center urged.
