Victoria Rasmussen

Victoria is a PhD researcher in the School of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine at UNSW, and a Senior Research Officer at the Australian National Research Organisation for Women's Safety (ANROWS).
Victoria's doctoral research investigates the impacts of intimate partner violence on women's mental health and risk of suicide. In her role at ANROWS, Victoria examines Australian community attitudes toward violence against women and gender inequality. Her work contributes to population‐based research that informs national policy and prevention efforts.
Before joining ANROWS, Victoria held research positions at leading mental health and medical institutions in Sydney and Melbourne. She coordinated evaluation studies and clinical trials in mental health promotion at the Black Dog Institute, and contributed to translational research in hereditary cancer and genetic disease settings at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the Murdoch Children's Research Institute.
