Ukrainian Drone Strike Leaves One Dead in Russia
(MENAFN) A Ukrainian drone assault on the Russian Black Sea port city of Tuapse claimed one life and left another person injured Monday, according to regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev.
"Tuapse suffered another massive drone attack last night ... one man died at the seaport," Kondratyev said, adding that the injured person is "receiving all necessary medical care."
Beyond the casualties, Kondratyev reported that the strike ignited a fire at the Tuapse port, causing damage to civilian infrastructure throughout the city.
The attack marks the latest escalation targeting Russian port infrastructure along the Black Sea coast, a region that has seen repeated Ukrainian drone operations as the war between the two countries grinds on. Authorities have not disclosed further details regarding the extent of the infrastructure damage or the current status of port operations in the aftermath of the strike.
