US Delegation to Arrive in Islamabad for Iran Negotiations—Trump
(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump says American envoys are set to arrive in Islamabad tomorrow evening for negotiations with Iran, according to a post on his Truth Social account.
“My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan — They will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations,” he wrote.
Trump also accused Iran of escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, claiming, “Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz — A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement!”
He alleged that Iranian forces targeted vessels in the strategic waterway, including a French ship and a UK-flagged freighter, according to reports.
He further referenced threats related to closing the waterway, arguing it would harm Iran economically, saying: “They’re helping us without knowing, and they are the ones that lose with the closed passage, 500 million dollars a day.”
Trump added that global shipping routes remain active, stating that US-bound cargo vessels are continuing toward ports in Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska.
He also said Washington is presenting what he described as a “very fair and reasonable DEAL,” warning that failure to accept it could lead to severe consequences, writing: “if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran. NO MORE MR. NICE GUY!”
Criticizing past US administrations, he said they had failed to handle Iran for years and urged Tehran to accept the proposal to avoid further escalation. He concluded with a hardline message, stating: “IT’S TIME FOR THE IRAN KILLING MACHINE TO END!”
