Korean Story Festival 2026 To Begin April 17 At National Museum
Dhaka: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea has announced the upcoming Korean Story Festival 2026, a two-day cinematic event set to take place on April 17–18 at the National Museum of Bangladesh. The festival will be open to the public free of charge, read a press release of the embassy.
Aimed at celebrating the richness and diversity of Korean cinema, the festival will showcase a curated lineup of acclaimed films spanning genres such as drama, action, historical narratives, and slice-of-life storytelling. Organizers hope the event will attract film enthusiasts and cultural audiences alike.
Audiences will have the opportunity to watch five popular Korean films across two days:
Friday, April 17, 2026
- 4:00 PM – Mal-Mo-E: The Secret Mission
- 6:00 PM – Luck Key
Saturday, April 18, 2026
- 11:00 AM – Assassination
- 2:00 PM – Little Forest
- 4:30 PM – Escape from Mogadishu
Promoting Cultural Exchange
The Korean Story Festival is designed to strengthen cultural ties between South Korea and Bangladesh through the universal language of cinema. Each featured film highlights different facets of Korean history, society, and everyday life, offering Bangladeshi audiences deeper insight into Korean culture.
