UAE Air Defences Engage 19 Ballistic Missiles, 26 Drones On Day 34 Of War

    UAE air defences have engaged 19 ballistic missiles and 26 drones launched from Iran on Thursday, April 2, 2026, as the country continues to confront aerial threats that aim to undermine its security.

    In a statement the UAE Ministry of Defence affirmed that it remains fully prepared and ready to deal with any threats in a manner that ensures the protection of the country's sovereignty, security and stability and safeguards its interests and national capabilities.

    Since the war erupted on February 28, 2026, the UAE has recorded 12 fatalities including two members of the armed forces who lost their lives while performing their national duty, in addition to a Moroccan civilian contracted by the Armed Forces,

    A total of 191 people were also injured, with wounds ranging from minor to moderate and severe. The injured included nationals of the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Türkiye, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia, Sweden and Tunisia.

    On Thursday, authorities in the Capital, Abu Dhabi, confirmed minor damage near Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (Kezad) following the successful interception of a missile by the country's air defence systems.

    The authorities confirmed no injuries after the interception.
