Drone Attack Sparks Fire at Fujairah Oil Industries Zone in UAE

(MENAFN) A fire broke out Tuesday at the Fujairah Oil Industries Zone in the United Arab Emirates after a drone strike, according to reports.

Local authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported. Civil defense teams responded immediately and continue efforts to contain the blaze. The Fujairah Media Office advised the public to rely solely on official sources for updates, as stated by reports.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East following joint attacks on Iran by Israel and the United States on Feb. 28, which have claimed around 1,300 lives, including that of then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to reports.

In retaliation, Iran has launched a series of drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US military forces. These actions have caused casualties, damaged infrastructure, and disrupted global markets and aviation.
