Russian Attack Damages Residential And Critical Infrastructure In Chernihiv Region


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

"A difficult day for the Chernihiv region. The aggressor launched a massive drone attack on our cities and villages," Chaus said.

In the Chernihiv district, a Geran drone struck a household yard in a village of the Kyinka community. In the Horodnia community, a power line was damaged, while in another village a house was destroyed.

In the city of Chernihiv, a drone attack damaged homes, outbuildings, and vehicles in a residential area. A Geran drone also hit a critical infrastructure facility, leaving Chernihiv and part of the Chernihiv district without electricity.

In the Novhorod-Siverskyi district, a UAV struck a village in the Korop community, damaging a house, a garage, and a car. Numerous FPV drones were also reported: in Semenivka, a civilian vehicle was damaged, and in the Novhorod-Siverskyi community, a house was hit.

In the Nizhyn district, an energy facility was struck on the morning of March 25, leaving consumers in the Nizhyn, Pryluky, and Novhorod-Siverskyi districts without power.

Fires at the impact sites were extinguished by emergency crews.

Ukrinform reported earlier that about 150,000 consumers in Chernihiv and the Chernihiv district were left without electricity due to damage to an energy facility caused by the Russian attack.
