Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan Express Concern Over Attacks on Iran
(MENAFN) Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan expressed concern Saturday over the growing tensions in Iran and urged all sides to de-escalate and return to dialogue.
The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry published a statement on Telegram, calling on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, immediately halt hostilities, and take necessary measures to resume constructive talks. It also reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s support for international efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution in line with the UN Charter and international law.
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry warned that the escalation has impacted what it described as “friendly” Gulf nations, urging all involved to abandon confrontation and resolve disputes through political and diplomatic means. In a subsequent statement, Minsk condemned “any armed action that leads to civilian casualties, including through the indiscriminate use of force,” and stressed that the international community must act to prevent civilian deaths and further violence.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry described the situation as a serious threat to regional and global stability, calling it a matter of “deep concern.” It urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint, avoid actions that could intensify tensions, and return to the negotiating table.
