Missile Debris Hits Residential Building in Damascus, Injures Three
(MENAFN) Three individuals, including two children, were injured when missile debris hit a residential building in Ein Tarma, a town near Syria’s capital, Damascus, amid rising hostilities between Israel and Iran, according to reports.
Local authorities stated that the fragments struck civilians and caused property damage in the area.
The incident coincides with an escalating military conflict that began on Saturday when the US and Israel launched a joint campaign, reportedly resulting in the deaths of several senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In retaliation, Tehran carried out drone and missile strikes targeting multiple countries in the Gulf region. Reports also indicate that three US service members were killed and five others seriously injured in the counterattacks.
