Russia Deliberately Targets Energy Facilities, Railway Infrastructure Damaged Kuleba
“Last night, Russia once again launched a massive attack on civilian, critical, and logistical infrastructure in several regions of Ukraine. The strikes targeted Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Odesa, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk regions, and other areas. The enemy deliberately hit energy facilities, substations, and thermal generation sites,” the statement read.

Enemy drone attacks also damaged railway infrastructure in Donetsk, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Chernihiv regions. Importantly, there were no casualties as workers were in shelters. Train traffic remains operational, with repair work underway.
As reported, as of February 17, some trains to Zaporizhzhia will run only as far as Dnipro, and delays are possible in border regions.
