Russians Amassing Heavy Equipment For Further Assault On Myrnohrad Military

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by the Operation Task Force East of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the area of responsibility of the Operation Task Force East are holding back the Russian advance and over the past day repelled 59 Russian assault attempts.

Ukrainian units continue active operations in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad agglomeration. The enemy is suffering significant losses, the military noted.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to control the northern part of Pokrovsk. Search-and-assault operations are underway, along with the elimination of Russian troops in urban areas. Systematic fire strikes are being carried out against enemy units attempting to concentrate in the southern part of the town.

In Myrnohrad, Ukrainian defenders are holding designated defensive lines.

Russian forces are increasing pressure on the northern part of the town, attempting to amass heavy equipment and manpower for a further assault on Myrnohrad.

The necessary forces and assets are being deployed to contain the enemy. Fire strikes are being carried out against Russian troop concentrations and logistics.

As reported by Ukrinform, 152 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops occurred on the front line over the past day. The Pokrovsk direction was the hottest.
