Syrskyi Visits Pokrovsk Sector: Russians Try To Increase Pressure, Pulling Up Reserves
"The operational situation in the Pokrovsk direction remains difficult. Exhausting fighting continues in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration. About fifty combat clashes occur here every day," he said.
Syrskyi added that during his working trip, he met directly with military and unit commanders in the field.
“The enemy is trying to increase pressure, pulling reserves to Pokrovsk, looking for opportunities to break through our defenses both through sporadic massive assaults and through covert advances by small infantry groups,” the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.
He explained that under such conditions, the organization of defense requires full awareness, flexible decision-making, and accurate calculations, with particular attention paid to protecting personnel and maintaining unit combat capabilities.
In addition, according to him, the reports identified priority tasks, with the primary focus on improving defense resilience, ensuring the continuity of logistical support, enhancing the effectiveness of firepower, and fostering coordinated interaction across all levels of command.
“Despite the complexity of the situation, Ukrainian servicemen are holding their ground. Their professionalism, endurance, dedication, and combat hardening do not allow the Russian occupiers to realize their intentions to break through to the western borders of the Donetsk region,” the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.
