NEW YORK - Burson has appointed Sylvester“Sly” Peoples as US head of sports and entertainment. Peoples will focus on expanding the agency's sports, entertainment, and creator-led work, including talent procurement and partnerships. He joins from HP Inc., where he led global social content strategy, and previously held senior roles at Adidas, Russell Athletic, and Edelman.
WASHINGTON - FTI Consulting has appointed Dan Scorpio and Heather Wilson as senior managing directors within its strategic communications segment, expanding its transactions, shareholder activism, and issues management capabilities. Scorpio, based in Chicago, joins from H/Advisors Abernathy, where he led the firm's M&A and activism practice. Wilson, based in Los Angeles, joins from AccentCare, where she served as chief marketing and communications officer, and brings experience across transactions, crisis, and issues management.
WASHINGTON - Signal Group has promoted Scott Lusk and Jess McCarron to managing director as part of a broader round of internal advancements. The firm also promoted Kathleen Van De Wille to senior VP and Grace Dahl to VP, analytics and intelligence. Additional promotions include Julian Graham and Vincent Sheu to senior director, Ari Neugeboren and Will Burdulis to director, Ginger Felberg to manager, and Antonio Mosquera to senior associate.

Bolton leads executive development and joined the firm in 2023 after a career in broadcast journalism. Clarkson advises on complex financial and strategic communications, while Schwartz leads the firm's sports business practice.
LOS ANGELES - The Pollack Group has appointed John Cheng as creative director and Daniel Chou as director of digital strategy following the integration of their creative studio, Winnow+Glean, into the agency. Both executives are based in Los Angeles and will join the agency's digital and creative teams. The move expands The Pollack Group's in-house creative and digital capabilities.
PITTSBURGH - ColdSpark has named Kerry McConnon as partner, expanding the firm's public affairs offerings and Washington presence. McConnon is a founding partner of DDC Public Affairs, where he helped build the firm into a leading public affairs agency. He has continued advising emerging firms and initiatives following his departure from DDC.
