Zelensky And Rutte Discuss Diplomatic Efforts To Achieve Peace And Protect Against Russian Attacks
The head of state stressed that“Russian strikes during such a cold winter pose serious challenges.”
The president noted that“today there was a Russian strike on an energy facility in Kharkiv, as a result of which hundreds of thousands of people were left without light and heat.”
Zelensky informed Rutte about the shelling and Ukraine's needs to protect and strengthen its air defens.
The head of state stressed the importance of the PURL program and expressed hope that the amount of contributions to it would increase this month.
Zelensky and Rutte discussed in detail diplomatic work and contacts with partners in the US and Europe.
The parties exchanged views on what the next steps should be.
“We have already made significant progress, and now it is important not to slow down. Ukraine has never been and will never be an obstacle to achieving peace,” the head of state stressed.

As reported by Ukrinform, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that the use of“Oreshnik” against civilian targets in Ukrain demonstrates the degree of atrocities that Russia is prepared to commit.
