Dutch Traveler Dies Following Collapse On Cathay Flight To Hong Kong
Dhaka: A 53-year-old Dutch man died after collapsing on a Cathay Pacific flight from Amsterdam to Hong Kong on Sunday, January 11.
Cathay Pacific said the passenger suddenly lost consciousness during the flight before landing. The cabin crew responded immediately and performed emergency first aid. But he did not regain consciousness.
Police were informed at 7:22, when the aircraft was approaching Hong Kong International Airport.
After landing, police officers and paramedics rushed to the aircraft, and the man was taken to North Lantau Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The flight involved was CX270, which departed Amsterdam at 12:30 local time on Sunday and arrived in Hong Kong at 7:30 LT.
