Brooke Hovey Departs Burson, Launches Crisiscommand

Austin, TX - Brooke Hovey has left Burson after more than two decades at BCW and its successor and has co-founded a new company, CrisisCommand, an AI-powered platform focused on issues and crisis preparedness.
Hovey confirmed her move in a LinkedIn post this week, saying she has spent the past year considering how marketing and communications leaders are being asked to deliver greater value amid rising complexity and the rapid adoption of AI.
She was named global chief strategy officer of Burson in 2024, when WPP merged sibling agencies BCW and Hill & Knowlton to create the WPP firm. Before that, she served as global president of BCW and spent four years as the agency's global chief growth officer.
CrisisCommand was co-founded with Hovey's former colleague and mentor Paul Walker. The platform is designed to help organizations prepare for and manage issues and crises by combining AI with sector expertise, scenario planning and operational frameworks.
Hovey said she will share more updates about the platform in the coming months.
