11 Jordanian Umrah Pilgrims Injured In Bus Accident In Saudi Arabia

Eleven Jordanian pilgrims were injured in a bus accident in the Miqwa area of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday morning. According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the bus was carrying 34 Jordanian citizens.

The ministry said its Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs, along with the Jordanian embassy in Riyadh and the consulate general in Jeddah, are monitoring the situation closely and coordinating with Saudi authorities.

Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, the ministry's spokesperson, confirmed that the ministry would continue providing all necessary assistance and support to the injured pilgrims in coordination with Saudi authorities. He expressed hopes for their speedy recovery.

In November 2025, a horrific bus crash in Saudi Arabia, claiming mostly Indian pilgrims, killed 45 people. Among the victims were 18 individuals from the same family, including 9 children.

An Indian expat from Karnataka, who had been working in the UAE for the past 25 years, was among the 45 people who died in a tragic crash on November 16.
