Hassan Views Measures To Address Weather-Related Damage In Several Areas

Amman, January 7 (Petra) – Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan on Wednesday held a meeting at the Prime Ministry to follow up on measures taken by authorities to address weather-related damage that occurred in several areas during the week before last.
During the meeting, Hassan urged intensifying public awareness and guidance campaigns, providing Jordanians with accurate information and continuous updates during weather events and maintaining ongoing warnings and monitoring of flash flood risks.
He called on people to avoid flood-prone areas to ensure the safety of lives, homes and property, particularly during unusual weather conditions.
The Prime Minister called for sustained coordination among joint operations rooms and field teams to effectively respond to expected weather conditions throughout the season, as well as the continued repair of damaged sites.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of local administration, public works and housing, government communication, and interior, in addition to the head of the Greater Amman Municipality Committee and the director of Public Security.
