New, Reinstated Social Security Beneficiaries At 363,000 In 2025

Amman, January 7 (Petra) – The Social Security Corporation (SSC) announced that the number of new and reinstated beneficiaries covered under social security in 2025 reached approximately 363,000.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the Corporation said that the number of first-time subscribers in 2025 stood at around 183,000, including approximately 7,000 individuals who joined through voluntary or self-enrollment.
The statement added that the number of reinstated beneficiaries during the same year reached about 180,000, including nearly 107,798 Jordanian beneficiaries, accounting for 59% of the total.
The Corporation noted that the number of insured individuals working in the private sector rose to approximately 876,233 by the end of 2025, compared with 841,339 at the end of 2024, marking an increase of about 4%.
The Corporation explained that expanding social protection coverage is a key pillar of its economic and administrative modernisation vision.
It described social security as an effective tool for enhancing job stability and social protection, supporting sustainable economic growth and improving the work environment, noting that these efforts have been reflected in the expansion of insurance coverage.
In the same context, the Corporation affirmed that the government's continued implementation of economic stimulus measures will contribute to strengthening overall financial stability.
