Security Guarantees For Ukraine: Umerov Says Consultations Continue In Paris
"At the instruction of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, and following the leaders-level meeting of the Coalition of the Willing on January 6, we are continuing our work with partners in Paris. We held consultations with national security advisors from France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Poland, and Turkey, with the participation of the United States, NATO, the European Commission, and the European Council. The discussion focused on specific parameters of security guarantees, deterrence of Russian aggression, and the logic of the next steps in the peace process," Umerov said.
The Ukrainian side was represented at the meeting by Umerov, Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Andrii Hnatov, First Deputy Head of the Office of the President Sergiy Kyslytsya, and Office of the President advisor Oleksandr Bevz.
"It is important that approaches are increasingly moving from political statements to practical decisions. There is a clear understanding of step-by-step progress toward the implementation of the agreements. This work is what creates the foundation for real and lasting peace," Umerov said.
